Can the Emotion Code Help You Change Your Relationship With Food?

Juanita Ecker

Let me be the first to tell you that I understand what it’s like to have an unhealthy relationship with food. If you aren’t sure what that means, that’s alright! Allow me to break it down for you. Do you binge eat and feel guilty afterward? Do you set unrealistic goals for yourself on when to eat and how much to eat? Do you eat to keep your body busy when you’re bored? The list goes on and on.

For me, I would overeat even after I was full from my meal. The next bite always came around and I would regret it afterward. According to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, US adults consume an average of 3,400 mg/day [of sodium], well above the current federal guideline of less than 2,300 mg daily. With so many of us over-snacking and overeating, it’s easy to understand how this is possible.

I didn’t want to become a statistic. I didn’t want to continue with the eating patterns I was creating for myself. I knew there had to be a way to break the cycle- and there was. The solution is the Emotion Code. Now I get to help others break their bad habits as well. Click below to watch me delete chocolate chip cookies and vanilla pound cake from two volunteers during my Facebook Live. You won’t want to miss it!
